The Home Church of the Charismatic Reformation
We have been busy over the last several months with moving from Joplin, Missouri to Sand Springs, OK. Then also, we have been involved in the extensive paperwork and legal filings necessary to form The 120 Church as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Oklahoma. I am pleased to share with you that Dr. Charles Goodwin (Mom and Dad Goodwin's son) serves on our Board of Directors. We held our first Board of Directors meeting at which we approved our Bylaws, Corporate Policies, and other founding documents.
Additionally, we have been working with an organization called StartCHURCH that has assisted us in filing for a 501(c)(3) status. And I am happy to announce that in early December, the IRS formally recognized The 120 Church as a 501(c)(3) church.
I will be taking additional steps in coming weeks to meet with people who have embraced the need for a Charismatic Reformation. I will develop this network soon into an actual church with public meetings. We will join sound doctrine with the genuine flow of the Holy Spirit as was exemplified by Mom and Dad Goodwin. Right now, I'm joining with others to plan and pray. Please pray for us concerning this endeavor.
Pioneering The 120 Church:
The Lord woke me up in the middle of the night in 2013 and said:
Go to Tulsa.
Start a church.
Preach on the forgiveness of sins.
(Of course, He wants me to preach on faith, healing, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, and the rest of the whole counsel of God. He simply requires me to emphasize the forgiveness of sins.)
Our focus and mission: "Joining sound doctrine with the genuine moving of the Holy Spirit like the 120 believers experienced on the Day of Pentecost."
If you live in the Tulsa area and wish to attend our upcoming services or support us in some way, please e-mail Mel Montgomery at email@example.com.
